Research, Innovation and Enterprise Open Day
Your Contribution Matters:
The World Health Organization (WHO) contributes to the achievement of the broader United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those related to health and well-being. Research, Innovation, and Enterprise are integral components in achieving WHO's SDG-related objectives. They contribute to the development of new healthcare solutions, improved health systems, and sustainable practices, fostering progress toward global health and well-being. Collaborative efforts across sectors and the integration of innovative approaches are key to addressing the complex challenges outlined in the SDGs.
Urban Innovation is a dynamic platform that bridges the gap between academia and industry, fostering meaningful collaborations that drive impactful research. This engaging event provides an invaluable opportunity for researchers and industry leaders to connect, network, and explore synergies for future partnerships. Under the stewardship of the RIE Committee and with unwavering support from our faculties, remarkable progress has been made in strengthening industry-academia ties. In 2024 alone, RIE successfully hosted eleven Partnership Nights, setting a precedent for impactful engagements. This evening is not only a celebration of those achievements but also a step forward in reimagining urban challenges through innovative research and collaborative solutions.

T&C: To apply for a RMC grant, researchers must submit a proposal that outlines their research project.
The proposal will be evaluated by a panel of experts, and successful applicants will be awarded the grant.
This is a two-pronged initiative that aims to support and promote innovative ideas and projects.
The program consists of two main components: The Accelerator & MAHSA Pitch – In
Together, MAHSA Pitch – In and The Accelerator provide a comprehensive support system for innovators and entrepreneurs at MAHSA. The program helps to identify and nurture promising ideas, and it provides the resources and support needed to turn those ideas into reality.
This component focuses on crowdfunding for research projects. It provides a platform for researchers to showcase their work and seek funding from the public. This funding can be used to support a variety of research activities, such as data collection, equipment purchases, and travel to conferences.
This component aims to accelerate any project with commercial and enterprise value. It provides mentorship, resources, and funding to help entrepreneurs turn their ideas into successful businesses. The accelerator also offers a network of connections to potential partners, customers, and investors.
